Tottenham Hotspur Football Club is a professional English football club, also referred to as Spurs. The club was organized in 1882 by grammar school boys and became a professional football club in 1895. Spurs first played in Tottenham Marshes in London, then in Northumberland Park, and finally to the White Hart Lane in the London Borough of Haringey.
